Setting up Pippa

Pippa arrives ready to go, already paired to the phone number used when purchased.

Fitting Pippa takes less than 5 minutes and requires no tools. All you need to do is follow these simple fitting instructions.

CAN WE ADD A VIDEO LINK?

There are two ways to set up Pippa. You can choose to download the app and follow the in-app guide, see the “Using the Pippa app” tab below or, if you prefer not to use an app, see the “Setup without the app” tab below and follow the set up instructions.

Fit your Pippa to the wall centrally above your stove. Pippa should be at least 60cm above a 2 ring wide stove, or 70cm above a 3 ring wide stove.

What to do when Pippa® alerts

  • If Pippa detects a hazard on your stove, you will first hear a spoken warning. If you fail to respond, then an alarm will sound and you will receive an SMS or phone call to your registered phone(s) warning you of the hazard.
  • If Pippa warns you of a hazard, check the stove immediately to make sure everything is ok.
  • If everything is safe you can silence the alarm by holding your hand, or a cooking implement such as a spatula, underneath Pippa for 3 seconds.

You can update and add additional mobile numbers using the Pippa app, or by visiting account.mypippa.me

Pippa uses 2 x AA batteries (Alkaline) which should last for 12 months. Pippa will send you an alert when the batteries are low.

To change the batteries, push Pippa firmly to the left. The front plate will slide off allowing you to change the batteries. Once complete simply clip the font plate back on to the wall and push firmly to the right until you feel a click.

Warranty information

Pippa comes complete with a 1 year warranty. If anything does go wrong, we’ll happily replace your device for a brand new one and cover any associated shipping costs.

Power requirements: 2 x AA batteries (Alkaline), designed for multi-year operation. Battery life dependent on usage.

CAUTION: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
